| Field notes | Terrestrial herb 4-5 m. Rhizome long-creeping. Base 8 cm diam, sheath yellowish brown to green, ligule green - purple towards apex, amina dark green with pale midrib above. Inflorescence from rhizome. Bracts cream to pale brown. Petals pink, labellum yellow with red margin and lobes, central ±bifid. Stamen red, stigma pale pink. Typical 'tuhau' smell. Vernacular name (Lun Bawan): tubu nanung. Informed by Labo Balang Gukang. Deposited at: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, SAR, AAU. Material also preserved in spirit. |
