| Field notes | Terrestrial herb, 2-3 m, rhizome raised on stilts 60-70 cm. Peduncle 6-12 cm, erect. Infructescence 6-9 cm diam, bracts persistent, fruits pubescent with cream-brown hairs, particular near the persistent calyx, pale red to brown (when mature). Side of the fruit pink going orange-brownish-red. Seeds black. Collection consists of infructescences in spirit only. (=1845) Deposited at: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, SAR, AAU. |
