| Field notes | "Terrestrial herb to 3 m, in loose clump. Base swollen 5 cm diam, reddish; sheath yellowish; lamina plain green, below pale. Inflorescence to 30 cm, bracts dark brown going yellowish at apex; flowers white with central yellow; fruits pale orange when ripe. Vernacular name in Kelabit: tubu kering buduk (kering = bell-shaped; buduk = hill). Informant: Maran Guna. Deposited at: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, SAR, AAU." |
