Field notes "Terrestrial herb, 2.5 m, in clump. Sheath green. Young leaves red. Infructescence 10-20 cm from base, branched, branches erect; fruits ca. 2 cm, reddish green. Vernacular name in Lundayeh: baku terotalau (Lalong) / Pengiran Belapang: tubu becit, no use. ('becit' means sudden appearance). Deposited at: SAN."
