| Field notes | "Terrestrial herb 2-3 m. Rhizome long-creeping, base 3.5 cm; young leaf red. Lamina pubescent below. Peduncle 4 cm, peduncular bracts red. Bracts dark purple (almost black), white pubescent apex. Bracteole pale at base - dark red at top with pink apex. Petal tips red, labellum pink with narrow white lateral lobe.
