| Field notes | Terrestrial herb 2-4 m. Rhizome long-creeping. Sheath green, glabrous, ligule blotched reddish-brown. Lamina petiolate, ca. 2 cm. Leaves when crushed give unpleasant smell of paint or soap. Inflorescence at base, flowers red, lateral lobes of labellum pale red. Stamen red, stigma dark red. Vernacular name in Lundayeh: baku teruki, no use (informed while pressing by Tadem Baru). Deposited at: SAN, KEP, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, AAU. |
