| Field notes | "Terrestrial herb, 1.5-2 m. Rhizome long-creeping. Base 2 cm. Sheath green, pubescent in patches; ligule pubescent; lamina ±sessile, plain green, below pale and pubescent. Peduncle 3 cm, pale, bracts reddish-brown towards the tip (tip green), petals dark pink, labellum red, yellow patch terminates 15 mm from apex, stamen red, stigma pale red. 8-10 fls per inflorescence.
