| Field notes | Terrestrial to 7 m. Rhizome long-creeping. Young shoot green, cross-ribs scabrid, ligule purple, slightly hairy, lamina plain green, slightly plicate, margin undulating. Inflorescence up to I m from base, scales and bracts pale brown. Bracteole whitish pink, calyx pale pink to pink, petals red, labellum yellow, tip red, bifid, lateral lobes and edge red. Vernacular name (Lundayeh): Baku tubu (small form). Large form is called Baku derayau. Flowers collected in spirit |
