Field notes Terrestrial herb to c. 2 m. Rhizome long-creeping. C. 15 leaves per shoot. Stem and ligulegreen, glabrous. Lamina sessile, glabrous, shiny, plain green. Groove aple brown towards the base. Inflorescence form rhizome, peduncle 5 cm. Bracts mebraneous, pla ebrown. 2-3 flowers open at a time. Petals burgundy-pink at tip. Labellum red with a fringy margin. Lateral lobes erect but the extension towards teh tip forming a funnel. Anther and stigma pale pink. Anther sessile!. Pale (orange-white) line on labellum extending c. 2 cm above anther base ending with a two-fork. Taste of cabbage. Specimen at: SAN, KEP, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, AAU.
