| Field notes | Terrestrial herb to 4 m. Rhizome short-creeping, leaves clustered in he upper half. Base red, scales on rhizome red. Sheath yellowish-green, most yellowish at lower part. Bracts red to purple red. Fertile bracts pale red at base and brownish red towards the tip. Bracteole membraneous, 2-lobed, very pale pink. Calyxmembraneous white with pale pink veins, top part pale yellow, apices red. Corolla pale yellow and yellow towards teh top, apices orange. Labellum pale yellow, red at central lobe plus margin of lateral lobes only. Filament pale yellow. Stamen pale pink with red tip. Stigma pale red. Material in spirit.same individual as 1548 Specimen at: SAN, KEP, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, AAU. |
