| Field notes | Terrestrial herb to 5 m. Base swollen, round, 5 cm in diam. Sheath shiny, green with dark purple blotches. Ligule 1 cm, pubescent. Lamina plain green, midrib pale. Lower surface pale green. Peduncle 20-50 cm. Fertile bracts reticulate, purple, with white squares. Flowers red. Material in spirit. Specimen at: SAN, KEP, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, AAU, E. |
