| Field notes | Terrestrial herb to 1.3 m. Rhizome long-creeping, < 1 cm. Base of leafy shoot c. 2 cm. Sheathes green, reticulate. Ligule 0.5 cm, green, lamina slightly plicate, glabrous, dark green, pale below. Peduncle subterranean < 20 cm, horizontal, inflorescence erect, bracts distichous with protruding tips, pubescent. Flowering material collected form same individual on 25 June 2000: fertile bracts brown with green tips. Petals pink, labellum red with yellow centre that stops 1 cm short of tip. Material in spirit. Specimen at: SAN, KEP, Sabah Parks, AAU. |
