Rhizome long-creeping with red to rusty-brown scales; base 2 cm diam, reddish, with distinct patches of pubescent, square patches; lamina with scattered hairs; inflorescence with 2-3 flowers, arising from rhizome often more than 50 cm from base of leafy shoot, bracts white, calyx pink, flowers red, margin of labellum slightly plicate, filament absent, anther hinged.
