Field notes Understorey palm, about 2 m high. Dbh 1.6 cm. Crown with 5 leaves and one spear leaf. Basal leaf situated ca. 1 m above ground. Leaves situated 15-20 cm apart. Closed crown shaft, ca. 20 cm long. Petiole 23 cm long, rachis 27 cm. Leaves pinnate with 5 broad pinnae on each side of rachis. One wilted interfoliar inflorescence. One infrafoliar infructescence. Green-orange colour. Situated ca. 50 cm above ground. Infructescence peduncle 12 cm. Branched to 1st order, 8 branches, ca. 10 cm long. Fruits sessile, green, oblongue shape, 0.7 cm long and 0.2 cm wide.
