Field notes Understorey palmlet, 1.50 m high. Stem 2 cm in diameter. Basal leaf 35 cm above ground. Crown with 5 leaves and 1 emergent. Leaves pinnate. Closed leaf sheath. Petiole 25-40 cm long. Rachis 25-30 cm. 5 pinnae on each side of rachis, not exactly opposite of each other. Pinnae sigmoid. Central pinnae 20 cm long, 7 cm wide. Infructescence infrafoliear, bright yellow. Peduncle 27 cm long, 0.3 cm wide. Branched to 1st order. 7 branches, 12 cm long. Fruits yellow, 1.0 cm long, 0.7 cm wide.
