| Field notes | Voucher for ecological study. Male plant. Large clustering rattan climbing to 50 m or more. Diameter without sheaths to 4 cm, with sheaths to 9 cm. Internodes to 40 cm long. Leaves (incl. petiole ca. 70 cm) ca. 3.8 m long. 50 - 60 leaflets on each side of rachis arranged in groups of 2 - 3. Leaflets within groups held in different planes. Inflorescences to 10 m long incl. terminal flagellum. Inflorescence with 4 paritla inflorescences to 60 cm long. Sterile flagella to 13 m long. Flowers fixed in Navashin. Stem sections in alcohol. |
